What does a typical OT session look like?

I want to start seeing an OT. I'm sick of being scared of escalators and being such a picky eater, among other things. I have lots of sensory issues and I want to find ways to cope. There are people in my area who do OT but I only hear about what it's like for kids. What do they do for adults?
