They all seem to have perfect lives or something, like having stuff like after-school jobs and stuff, having best friends or relationships, seems to have a lot of money, know a lot about stuff like current events, politics, etc. and I feel left out. :(

No one has a perfect life. No one. You're just not seeing their whole life.

I'm sorry you feel left out. How long have you known the folks in your special ed class? Just this year?

Often people will try to pretend they have perfect lives. They may just mention the good things, but not the bad.

Like, for example, that they play tennis that afternoon. Or that they go out with a group of friends. But they may not tell you, that their tennis trainer is a mean idiot. Or that one of their friends has got big issues that they don't get along with when spending time with said friend.

So, really, I noticed LOTS or people doing this. It's like there's a unwritten social rule. They'll mention the good things, but not any/not many of the bad ones.

Maybe you need to think over what is good in your life. What looks good? What would other really like about what you have/do? What can you talk about to show them that you have/do something awesome too?
A hobby maybe or a cool thing to have. Maybe you're an expert on something or you may have gone to somewhere really cool/met someone famous?

Get a driver's license if you don't have one. Drive a hundred miles from home and strike up a conversation with someone new. You'll get a break from people who want to flaunt what they have in your face. Or maybe on the weekend you could go camping. People waiting for fish to bite don't mind some some quiet conversation.

Their lives can't be that perfect, or they wouldn't be in special ed!
