Did you make animal sounds as a child? If so, what animal sounds did you make? Did you ever replace actual words with animal sounds?

Do you still do that as an adult?

I confess, I still meow.

As part of my son's IEP evaluation, the teachers noted that he makes inappropriate animal noises at school, mainly dogs and cats.

I used to bark at strangers passing by my house.. And I crawled around in my parents house on all four till I was about 13 - 14 years old. My knees looks like an A-bomb attack :?

I still meow, but only when I'm trying to communicate with a cat. Seriously.
One time I did a great Donald Duck impression, but I've never been able to repeat it. I think this happened in 1995.
As a kid I often made other strange sounds, but they didnt sound like any animals I've ever heard.
I'd like to be able to imitate a sheep's meh. It would make a cool party trick. Not as cool as being able to magic a cigarette out of someone's ear, but I can't do that either.

My son, when he was about 18 months old, got chickenpox. We called him Spot. He decided that Spot was a dog. He ran around the house and barked at everyone for months. Then there was the cat. And the elephant....a whole progression of animals.

I didn't do this, but in my 4 year old journal book "All About Me", I wanted to be a dog when I grew up. Weird, huh?

I can make two meerkat sounds. A clicky chirp and a "burrrp" sound.

Thanks for reminding me.

I used to pretend to be a dog, & bark, & run around on all fours. Used to also imitate our cats. Could do a spot on imitation of an annoyed cat growling & hissing as well as meowing. Now when something bugs me I growl but it's much deeper, more like a larger animal. LOL

Oh yes. I imitated the noises of cats, dogs, mice, cows, wild big cats, elephants, chicken, pigs, crows and owls. There may have been more animals that I cannot remember right now.

I make animal noises constantly. I also make buzzings and beepings. Though usually when I'm alone, so as not to disturb the others. ....Well, I do buzz some on the phone.
