I just thought I would let everyone know that I got back to San Marcos around 2:00pm yesterday, safe and sound.

I have already started on the chili for tonight. I started early so that it would have time to cook down a bit by the time people showed up.

Hope to see some of youze guys there.

the chili was excellent!! It had the greatest of texture among the other things. My stomach has been quite calm even though the fuel release was good. When I go back Sunday I might have Jeff feed me till i can no longer walk so the dragon * not dragons* will come out to play .

To those of you who attended, you caught yet another one of our wilder parties in quite some time. Hope it wasn't too much. It almost was for me. That's Chloe's birthday for ya.

I will be accepting volunteers if anyone feels like painting the back room a more relaxing color. We probably have all the paints that anyone could want. It would be neat if that could be set up more like a meeting room in the future.

We painted the back room that has been used for storage kind of an aqua color.
It was garish pink before. I am still supposed to paint the ceiling in there.

Today some people were over and helped with finishing our ramp.

Then we had fun dismantling one of the old broken pianos.

Has anyone decided on activities for the month of March (I will be in town during Spring Break, which will be March 13-22)?

The zoo was mentioned previously, though I visited it recently and my excitement has waned. Maybe we can do a trek through the museum district or a picnic at Hermann Park or something of that sort?

Allan is out of the country, and he seems to be the chief coordinator of events, but he will be returning at the end of February, and everything should go back to normal with group activities at that time.

I would suggest other options, but Houston is foreign to me.

I created a profile on MySpace specifically to keep up with our group activities instead of relying on person-to-person communication, which apparently leads to confusion about times and locations.

There is an official website being crafted by Jeffrey, but until it is fully functional, I figure we could utilize the centralized notification system that MySpace provides.

I will attempt to keep the page updated, so:

#1. Accept my friend request if you received one from me, OR if I was unable to locate you on MySpace, please submit a request in my direction to be added to the list.

#2. Any events that you are planning to attend, send a message to the profile so that a bulletin, blog, and/or calender event can be posted to notify everyone else.

The URL is: http://www.myspace.com/houstonaspies

P.S. The profile is in need of photo contributions from any past meetups. There will also be a photo gallery strictly showcasing artistic works from members of our group, so if you draw, paint, craft, sculpt, I would love to receive pictures of your work to upload into the community album.

The profile was created last night, so help me build on the content. Contact all your other Houston Aspie buddies that perhaps do not use this board and spread the word. Thanks.
