Does anyone here experience emotion that is induced by music?

For me, it's only because the song means something.

Especially if I knew the song when I was a little kid.
The farther back it goes, the more emotional it is.

Also, the music itself doesn't usually get to me unless the lyrics do.

Music has quite an effect on me. I wish I were like some of the others on here, more musically gifted.

Metal and hard rock music can sometimes make me less sad. A song meaning something can also sometimes make me feel weird.

this might be TMI...but yes...I have had a music-induced orga....well you know what I am going to say. Drugs were involved also...but it was only the sound, no hands or anything else that could have caused it to happen.

Music is a type of overstimulation I induce because I enjoy the energy, ideas, and emotions I get from it. When I listen to music I have to stim a lot, but it's worth it. :)

Music can evoke emotion for me- depends on what kind of mood I am in.

Mostly music that is supposed to evoke a negative emotion evokes a positive emotion in me. Sad music makes me feel sublime inside.

There are emotions I feel ONLY when listening to music.

Me too.

I write music, and I am a lot better at expressing my emotions through music than through words.

When I was about 5 I would cry when I heard certain songs...something about the melody...

My son loves to sing and he will sing Mama (Il Divo) and stops 1/2 way through because he starts getting teary eyed...He seems to do this with some songs...

Rap and today's Pop makes me feel angry, because it makes me think about the direction that society's gone in. British oldies make me feel energized. Punk makes me feel even more energized and happy. I don't know why they call Soft Rock, Rock because it makes me feel tired and depressed. Classical music makes me feel intrigued, because it has many components to it. It makes me feel mentally sharp.
