not a friend yet. I value the word friend too much, alas around the world, it's being abused all the time. Here I would call people who are friendly acquaintances...

I've made two good friends here so far and there are two other people who I'm in the process of getting to know. Other than that I feel like I recognize a lot of the posters here, like I kind of know them. I am so much better at the social thing here than amongst NTs : )

Just a few for a very long time. Hope I can get my head together and stay connected. I seem to lose friends when I lose myself.

Umm.... kinda I guess. There are people on here I find especially agreeable, but only one random person added me as a MySpace friend and no one IMs me. :(

No, I made no friends on WP.

Some people are really friendly, some people write most interesting or good posts, but I'm not in regular contact with anyone or know anyone on WP.

Yes, I talk more or less regularly with about 7-8 people, males only, I met on WP via MSN. I talk with two of them practically every day.

Despite the fact I have been a member for almost
two years, I have not made a true friend.

Have you made friends on WP? I ask out of curiosity, because there's nobody from my country here, as far as I know.

Hmm ... should I post a string of laughing smilies or just say 'No'?

No more difficult or easy. From this end of the link, everyone else is just a series of posts - they do not seem to be 'flesh-and-blood' beings. For all I know, you are all just a bunch of A.I.'s that have passed the Turing Test.

I only have had one online friend, not from this site. It started out great and then got a bit weird, (on both of our parts) so now I just read her blog and say hello every now and again. She's cool with that and so am I. We were able to end things nice enough but the experience kind of tarnished me for online personal connections. I really like being a part of the forum, but doubt I will ever actively pursue friends.

I should really try harder to reach out to people on a personal basis on here. There a few that I find to be exceptionally insightful and pleasant individuals. Spudnik and JohnHopkins for starters if I was asked to name names. Which is not to say that the rest of you are a bunch of mouth-breathers  just that even I don't have enough time to chat with everyone.

I have met one person in real life and we are friends. I've been friendly with a few other people as well.

No. I haven't made any friends yet. Like I said in my very first post, I do hope I can make one friend here.
