As it is the holiday season, and Thanksgiving is around the corner, I thought it would be cool to share thoughts of what you're thankful for. So, what are you thankful for?

Thankful to whom? I'm grateful for this forum, so thanks to the people who put it up! I'm glad there's a school for me to go to, so thanks to my predecessors for setting that up. On the other hand maybe less thanks to them because they had more opportunity in school than I do, so were really giving back less than they consumed. I'm happy that it's nice and cool now, just a little rain and it'd be perfect.

There are many, but here are a few:

1. Family
2. Friends (had very few for most of my life, so having made friends in college make it all that much more meaningful to me)
3. Being loved by both
4. Health
5. The fortune of being able to sit here at a computer, in a heated room, typing this tonight--think of how many millions are not as fortunate (in the cold, etc.).
6. Being able to eat and drink safe food and clean water sufficiently.

My family
My good physical condition
My imagination
My dog
My country. Say what you will about the US, it's better than living in a lot of places I could name.
Every author or artist whose works have motivated or inspired me
Every famous politician or historical figure who has ever motivated or inspired me
Every teacher who has ever motivated or inspired me
My ex, whom I haven't talked to in ages and probably won't talk to in the future, but what the hell, it was fun. Good times.

I will be thankful for the good food and to visit my family who are in mostly good health. Thankful that I have begun to learn about my AS. I suppose I'm also thankful that I can legally buy alcohol nowadays

I'll be thankful when my workload decreases.
Which won't be until the start of the next trimester in December.

I am extremely thankful for everything in life, the good and the bad. For without the bad, we wouldn't appreciate the good in the same way. And I may be in a bit of a trough at the moment, but I still know that there are so many amazing things in this world that surprass description and leave me aching.

I am thankful my son and daughter-in-law are OK.

http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/ ... fatal.html

The truck driver was my daughter-in-law, my son was sleeping in the sleeper. Their tractor is totaled and they are off the road for at least a week. Fortunately they are not badly hurt and Schnieder is taking good care of them. They called me about an hour and a half after the accident.

I'm thankful that I have a family that still puts up with me, my car, my waterbed ( :D ), my laptop,my DSL connection (or the laptop wouldn't be much use), and my gun.
