Hiya Boys and Girls, Capt Katze here and its nearly Christmas and I bet that you’re all Excited witless in anticipation of yet another present of Exercycles, treadmills, B & Decker powertools, a year long membership to the local gym or the skating rink, not to mention the prospect of endless Safaris through Walmart for days on end by your parents in search of a present for Aunt Epiphany or, whats even worse, being forced to attend yet another parade, or...he..he.. BE A PARTICIPANT IN ONE..

So, to lessen the agony and to bring some joy to you all Capt Katze thought he would open a Suggestion Box where you can post your contributions of What to give an Aspie for Christmas, or better ‘What not to give an Aspie for Christmas’. Imagination is without limit, here is your opportunity to voice your needs, wishes, and put out there into the Universe what you always really wanted for Christmas but were afraid to ask.
Nothing crude or lewd mind you, and no personal character assassinations. No handguns….

Enjoy….

Capt Katze

Polonius: What do you read, my lord?
Hamlet: Words, words, words!

I would want books... or that kind of stuff, really nothing special.

I don't really know what I want. For the past few years, my parents have been getting me cash. One time, they also got me a calendar with pictures of trains, a topic they knew I was interested in.

A Ruger Super Redhawk .454 Casull revolver with a 7.5 or 9.5 inch barrel.

A Soviet TT-33 Tokerev pistol, one of the originals chambered in 7.62x25mm.

A Walther P38 or P1 (basically the same thing).

A Motorola Razor V3 phone, or just about any cell phone would be nice.

All of that makes sense, but I'll tell you something. I sometimes don't mention what I want because I don't consider things.

Nothing!

I like to get things when I need them. The concept of gifts makes me uncomfortable, it is like trying to think of something you need just to please another person.

Uh oh Sean, I hope that we don't have another disgruntled Aspie on our hands.

None of those pistols are well suited for going beserk somewhere. The Super redhawk is a revolver, the P1 is an 8-shot 9mm that I would use only for target shooting because I wouldn't want to rely on a 9mm even for defense, and the Tokerev is more of a collector's piece.

I'm interested in shooting sports. I don't want or feel any desire to go kill anyone I come into contact with in my daily life.

In my opinion, the perfect gift for a person with AS is something that has to do with his or her obsession.

I always ask for money. I'd like to save up to buy a car, and obviously no one can afford to buy me a car for Christmas. I don't really want anything else.

I actually found the perfect gift for a certain dinosaur-loving "possible aspie" but was not about to pay a hundred dollars for it. ((Hey, go easy on me, I'm a college studnet for god's sake!)) http://www.hobbytron.com/Roboraptor.html Only the one I saw was in BLACK!! !! ! verybody ooh and ah and drool and whatever.

What NEVER to get me: Pants or underwear (due to my weird size and my tactile hangups). Sweaters and shirts, only if you know me and my criteria. I asked my family to return so many clothing items last year that I think this years I'll be getting pretty much all cash. What a pity.

Books are good if you know me.

I think the one thing that i get at leas one of every year is a diary. I never use the damn things. I have a livejournal. What the hell do I need a diary for??? Get me a box of floppy discs or blank Cds if you want me to keep hard copies of my memories! :P ((They mean well))

People also get me stuff for dream interpretation a lot. dunno. I guess I just seem dreamy and bookish and mousy and like a librarian.

Please.

I've only worked in two lirbaries!! !! give me a break!! ! </facetious rant>
