I'm not diagnosed, but I do meet the criteria for AS and I'm quite certain I have at least some kind of PDD..

I had an imaginary brother. I found him extremely annoying.

I'll just ask Pookie, the yellow flying elephant, about that...

LOL, I used to imagine myself having a twin brother, i used to think that was so cool 8) but I wouldn't of imagined in front of everybody like that. But also I would of imagined having an imaginary girlfriend until I managed to get myself a real one who i love and cherish very much :)
I still do once and a while today

I do not recall ever having an imaginary friend, but I did used to imagine actually *having* friends, and I very much wanted a 12"-tall human of my very own to carry around and show to other people.

I don't think I've ever had an imaginary friend. I imagined a whole lot of *characters* that I would tell stories about and act out as if in a puppet show, but I think that falls in a different category.

I've always had imaginary relationships with actual friends. In other words, assuming the relationship/friendship was more important than it was.

But no actual imaginary friends.

I have imaginary girlfriends for sure. Sometimes, I think I might just give up hope of ever having a real girlfriend...

My cuddly toys were my imaginary friends, but I suppose, given their solid state, they can't be considered quite the same as an imaginary kid friend.
I do remember once, at about aged 7 or 8, standing in my room with the Barry Manilow song 'Bermuda Triangle' playing, and I was dancing round and round in a circle, imagining I was holding hands with other kids. It is odd that memory has stuck in my mind.

I was so unpopular, even imaginary people wouldn't be my friend! OK, that is a joke, but I never had imaginary friends. I did have an imaginary motorbike, but thats another story.

Not only did I not have an imaginary friend, the girl across the street and her imaginary friend decided they wouldn't play with me because I didn't have an imaginary friend. I recall attempting to reason with this girl, telling her that she didn't have an imaginary friend either, she was just imagining it... but my logic was lost on her.

So my lack of an imaginary friend kept me from having a real friend. Or something like that.

My son doesn't have much of an imagination, but he did have an imaginary friend for a day. He would do something and said so and so did it. He was the only one to blame before he had a real sister.

Me, i don't think i did.
