Because Dan Ackroyd, a self professed Aspie, is no longer on the show.

Its true... aside from the odd recurring sketch that was funny only because it had Will Ferrel or Tim Meadows in it and because I was familiar with the recurring gag, I hadn't found the show to be very funny at all the past few years. Nowadays, all the good people seem to have left (except Horatio Sanz who I think is underrated) and its REALLY gone down the toilet.

I found that it used to be funny, when Mike Myers, Chris Farley, Molly Shannon, Dan Ackeroid and Tim Meadows were in the cast. As the Cast Members left, one by one, the show gradually it's flavour.

It's gone through several rounds of awesomeness. I hope it will come back alive again. And get some better actors and writers. :?

SNL is a step in progressing actor/comedians career. In some cases. We might be experiancing a generation gap. (between great comedians.)

Well then what generation finds it funny? I don't know anyone who watches it, and I don't find it to be very funny.

Have you seen "Man On The Moon"? I'm not generally a Jim Carrey fan, but he does Andy Kaufman better than Andy Kaufman did!!

Yes, of course I've seen Man On The Moon, I actually created a one-off festival about Kaufman back in 2002 to raise money for charity where we re-did his skits live on stage. Also have some of his performance dvds as well.
