If you have some examples of Aspies portrayed in movies, plays or other fiction pray do tell us about it.

I have a gem of an example.

The motion picture is -War Games- shown in 1983 (Mathew Broderick, Alley Sheedy). The character in the motion picture is a computer nerd/geek Stockman played by David Clover. It was spot on. I was in the computer business over 40 years until I retired in the year 2001. During that time I met many folks who presented Aspie characteristics. My favorite example in real life is Bob Frankston who co-invented Visi-Calc the first commercially successful spread-sheet program. Bob was somewhat of a wunderkind and a genuine pain in the butt. He exhibited many Gates-like Aspie traits.

There has been threads about this already.

Sam from Benny & Joon. Shy, outcast, literal, and has obsessions. He is obsessed with old movies and likes to act them out and say lines and it's obvious he likes to talk about them because Benny mentions to Ruthie Sam is raving about her. She was a former actress and she played in Sam's favorite movie which was a lot newer movie. He also might have communication difficulties because he says "Joon and I are uh...you know?" Either he was too insecured he couldn't explain it or he just had social difficulty explaining it. Those were aspie traits he displayed in the movie but one of them is unknown which was the last one I explained.

Joon also exhibited some traits but she was a schizophrenic and they do display some of the traits we do. No wonder they got along great. They were both normal people when they were together. They were both the cure .

The main character in the movie "40 years old virgin". Specially during the first scenes. The scene where they are discussing sex with a horse he acts perfectly aspie, the way he moves his eyes, his choice of words, everything. It can't be a coincidence, i bet they based that character on a real life aspie.

The movie "The Prism" is a good example of Aspergers in a child.

It just occurred to me. In the comic strip Foxtrot the youngest boy Jason might fit the mold. He is certainly a nerd and he may well be an Aspie. Also Mr. Fox the pater familias might also be.
