Do any other diagnosed aspergers have a problem getting out of bed? I'll wake up and lay in bed for hours some times... awake. I always feel exhausted.

God yer. I actually got up at 6pm today. I often don't get out of bed, probably, because I feel I have nothing worth doing.

Yer, I often spend 12+ in bed. I usually feel tired but that's probably coz Ima right anorexic, not due to Aspergers.

I can NEVER get enough sleep!!.If it wasnt for the fact that I need to take care of the kids,I would not even bother getting out of bed at all.The odd part is no matter how much sleep I get I still wake so damn tired!!

I used to have a hard time getting up, but now I have a set time to get up, which is usually around 9am. If I'm still in bed at 10am I tell myself that I'm lazy and that usually works to get me out of bed. Or my very loud animals will be my 6am wake up call and I usually get out of bed to yell at them.

I have problems getting out of bed too, but I don't lie awake for hours, I fall asleep again after the clock has waked me up. Sometimes it's because I'm too tired, but other times I am awake enough, but still am able to sleep on (just because it's nice), and then, when I have slept for, say, 10 hours, I'm more tired than if I got up in the first place.
Of course I ought to get in bed early, and I try to, but don't always succeed.
It's all quite a battle, I'll say...
What was described in the opening post and in some others, sounds like it's an executive dysfunctional / inertial thing.
Don't know if it's such a thing in my case. Not sure.

The main problem I'm having getting out of bed at the moment is that my room is much colder outside of my duvet than in it. As a result it takes me ages to get out of bed.

I don't think it's an aspie thing though, NTs like a lie in too.

The only thing that gets me out of bed is the fact that I have school, or that I have work, or that I want to partake in my special interests, so basicly either duty or fun, and duty more strongly than fun.
