I don't see a Science, Technology or Health forum here.
Just in case any of you think it should be moved. ( there are too many forums already)

Topic

I have recently been using Cold-FX as an "immunity enhancer" and I have read some interesting stuff about the drug and its derivative ginseng.
For example did you know that ginseng is thought to be a treatment for ADHD?

Anyway, the drug is suppposed to enhance immunity.
How does it do this?
Does it increase white blood cells speed, give them extra armour, make them have better instincts, better weapons?
I have looked it up and I can't find the anwser.

Do you mean about ginseng?
I don't know about 'cold fx' as a whole but here's what is written about ginseng in an ADHD book I have [By 2 neurologists]:

Quote:
Whilst this is originally a chinese chemical, coming from a root,it seems to have some impact on the central nervous system as well as the cardiovascular system.
Some individuals seem to feel that this helps with the serum glucose levels (diabetes),as well as with the immune system and thought inatention.
It may have some positive impact on neurontransmitter release and reuptake, very much like some of the prescription antidepressants, this, howevermis not entirely clear.
