Just noticed that this (fairly old) news article about Einstein and Newton both having asperger's is currently the most shared news article on the BBC website.

I though this was really random considering the article is from 2003. But I was just got really excited and wanted to share it.

Everyone click on the link and have a read. Together we can keep it in the top 10 for a bit longer. That way even more people will read it and appreciate that we can achieve great things!! !

Interesting statistic, I wonder if someone is researching, or maybe a school project or it could even be the journo loving the sight of his own words.

Read it.
It's good to see autism being put in a positive light instead of all the negativity it gets.

Yes. It is nice to see. Still, I don't want people to get the idea that we are all just underappreciated geniuses, either. We do need real help sometimes, and people thinking we are just eccentric nerds doesn't help us get it.

But they cannot. We are too smart for them!

Cool. :) I heard this stuff before, but I wonder if Einstein and Isaac Newton really did have Asperger's, it would be nice to know I have the same condition as famous scientists.

No, sometimes we're below-average, gullible people who have problems taking care of ourselves, actually.

What I'd rather see is people saying, "I'm going to make sure my fellow autistic people stop getting abused and start getting to decide things for themselves", because the ones who are self-sufficient and have versatile intelligence are not the only ones on the spectrum. Some of us are very vulnerable to abuse and there needs to be something preventing that abuse from happening.

Indeed :)

What we do know for sure, though, is that the creator of BitTorrent along with the creator of Pokemon had it :)
