Irial glanced sharply up at the hooded man's thinly veiled accusation. She was NOT going to be treated like some sort of subordinate.
"I might ask the same of you. However, I'll first tell you that I had nothing to do with those Paladins, and I don't think she did, either." Irial pointed to the animal-like girl, who was still shocked, her naturally large eyes appearing even larger than normal. "So, that obviously leaves one person. If you don't mind, I'd quite like to know why I was almost killed right there."
About then, the animal-like girl became suddenly alert to the situation, and began asking where the Paladins came from, which Irial took as further proof of her innocence.
Irial gave her a second look. She was strange, no doubt, but she seemed friendly enough, friendlier, at least, than the hooded man, who was rather cold, though highly skilled.
Irial replied to the animal-like girl, "Sure. I guess we'll go inside. I don't want to get stuck in the rain, and I don't know about you, but I'm dead-tired. By the way, my name's Irial Faith."

"She was trapped inside a room in the Manor," Sindri said, "I was there on business, and that Marie now has something of great importance in her head, the certain something that I came for. She would have been trapped in there forever if I did not open the chamber. And my name is Sindri."
Sindri looked at Marie.
"Alright, we will rest inside this manor until sunrise." He walked inside the manor, and lit a fire. Good thing that the occupants of the house had gone on a trip to another city far east of here. Sindri headed for the lounge, and cast a fire spell on the fireplace.

"Oh my..." Marie said, she didn't exactly like the explanation of the little object in her head. It made her think that was all he wanted from her, not a geniune friendship, but what she thought was most likely correct. At least this girl seemed pleasant and soon all of them was inside and out of the weather.
A wind blew through the house from the storm, but Marie closed the door to the exposed room to stifle the flow of air. Turning around she noticed the crackling sound of embers behind her. Turning around she saw the orange glow of flames and she scurried up by the fire, kneeling and rubbing her hands. She pleasantly smiled and forgot her predicament looking to her newly assumed friend and the mysterious hooded man.
"The fire is nice, isn't it?" she asked Irial "It'll keep this house warm despite the big hole. I sure hope whoever owns this house doesn't get in a big tizzy over that; I know I would."

"Hmm...as long as we stay away from the servants' quarters, I don't think we'll have any problems." Irial replied, sitting in a large chair by the fire. She felt more relaxed than she had been in a long time, having washed the mud out of her hair and changed into a utilitarian blue tunic and trousers.((Finally, I was getting tired of having a muddy Irial )) She absent-mindedly picked up a book which had been left out, on a table beside Irial's chair. It was fairly boring, and Irial could feel herself nodding off. She let sleep overtake her.

Irial's First Vision:
Irial was standing in a large field. The sky was gray and lightening was striking the earth. Some distance away, she could see a vast army, attacking three small figures. Irial saw that one of the figures was herself, with a gleaming sword held before her, as she had done earlier. To her surprise, the others were the strange duo she had come across earlier that day. The animal-like girl, Marie, Irial remembered her name was, grasped the sides of her head in pain, and red light came from her eyes. Irial could tell that Marie was not in control of whatever this was.
Sindri let out a curse in a strange language while the red light filled the whole field and blocked the sky. There was an unearthly crackle, and the red light dissipated, leaving the field filled with dead bodies. The entire army was killed, as well as Marie, Sindri, and Irial herself.

Irial woke with a start.
"Marie, admittedly I know nothing about the thing in your head, but we have to find a way to get it out."

The bright summer morning sun shone through the dark red curtains as Sindri woke up, which annoyed him. He had been sleeping on his own light bedding, which was only bearable because of the blowup pillow. He looked at his watch, it was half past eight in the morning.
"Rested?" He asked the other two, who had been sleeping on the other side of the fire. He didn't know whether or not to trust Irial, and he kept a stun spell at the top of his mind.
"I will make some breakfast, then we will go." Sindri got to his feet, groggy after only having 8 hours sleep. It would wear off after half an hour.

Quatermass told of travel between dimensions. Of the occasions he had met, and sometimes clashed with Merithae.
"...I am not sure of who I was anymore, just who I am. I try to do right and correct wrongs. I'm sorry to hear of your husband. I have heard of stranger things happening. However, I cannot help you."
Quatermass then looked at Dibble's face and smiled gently.
"But I think I know who can. The resident of this house may be able to help you. She specialiases in healing, but perhaps she may know more..."
Dibble smiled.
"He was so handsome." she rocked back, dreamily. She shook it off.
"Do you know anything about using big magic? I have it, but I have no idea how in the world to use it." she asked.
The ground beneath them shook. Outside, a huge dragon/ogre/golem was terrorising the people of the city.
Only one man stood and fought.
"He needs our help!" Dibble yanked Quatermass my the arm towards the creature.
As people ran terrified from the hybrid creature assaulting the city, Selvaran hefted his oversized sword - a sword constructed from titanium-steel alloy that had once belonged to a great hero - and launched himself into the air for another attack. But to no avail - the monster's skin was as hard as lava rock. The sword bounced harmlessly off of the stone armor, and only by twisting his body with inhuman speed was Selvaran able to avoid it.
Breathing heavily, Selvaran searched his mind for all possible options. However, nothing presented itself to him, nothing except the one choice he was trying to avoid.
He had no other choice. He had to use IT.
He unraveled the bandage on his left hand to reveal a strange seal, a seal which gave off an aura of power... dark power. As he raised his marked hand to the sky, he saw two figures approaching the battle, weapons drawn. He had barely enough time to yell a warning before releasing the magic.
"Get the hell outta here, if you value your life!"

Quatermass looked at the being, then, the roles reversed. He started to drag Dibble away by the hand.
"Never argue with someone like that!" yelled Quatermass before Dibble could protest.
They dove for cover behind the corner of Myrrhdyn's house. Quatermass peeked around the corner, to see the, well, thing about to fire something at the warrior who had dark stuff coming out of his head, and it wasn't blood.
"Damn!" yelled Quatermass. He raised the Thanatos and used spatial dilation to snipe at one of the creature's eyes.
BLAM!
A powerful bullet, travelling at an appreciable fraction of the speed of light, hit the eye, bursting it and causing the creature to flail about in agony. The warrior looked back at Quatermass.
"Don't stop!! ! Do what you were going to!! !" yelled Quatermass before ducking behind cover again....

Marie clutched the pillow and nuzzled her head against it, resisting the sounds of talking and sunlight trying to shine through her eyes. She was sometimes a bit of a slothful cabbit, wanting to take the whole morning in resting not to rejuvenate her health but purely for comfort. She'd occassionally turn her body over in the blanket, closing her eyes once again and trying to delve back into the pleasant dream lingering in her mind. She didn't want to wake just yet~

Sindri walked out of the room, and headed to the kitchen, which was just across the hallway. He looked inside the cupboards, and picked out some bacon, bread, and butter. He put the bacon in a frying pan, and also made some fried bread. Sindri waited for a few minutes.

Then Dibble saw the man on top of the monster.
Her murderous father!
"WHERE IS SHE?" he bellowed.
Dibble yanked her hand away from Quatermass, and ran out into the street.
"Come an get me father! I'll make you pay for what you did! What you did to my Tom....my husband!" Two tears ran down her face.
The bear in her hand grew hot.
"You still think I murdered him?" her father laughed. "Why don't we find out the truth?"
He commanded his monster to swoop down and destroy Dibble.
"Time dilation!" yelled Quatermass, and everything slowed to a crawl. As in continental drift crawl. He ran at Dibble and picked her up bodily. As she entered his personal time field, she quickly realised what had happened, and beat her fists on him yelling "Lemme go!"
((Sorry for the powerplaying here, Kezzstar. I'm just trying to be chivalrous))
Quatermass looked behind him, and saw the monster starting to speed up.
Damn, it can do time dilation too?
He dumped Dibble as gently behind the wall as possible, where she slowed back down again, outside his personal time field. As the creature split off from the monster came for Dibble, Quatermass yelled "5% EON Blast!! !". Energy blasted out and vapourised much of the creature. Time wound right back up to normal, and Quatermass was faced with a very angry Dibble.
"Look, Dibble, don't do anything that stupid again! If we're lucky, that fellow will blast that creature out of existence. If he doesn't, well, will you be able to take on that thing? Even if it's your father?"

((No problem, I actually enjoy seeing how others interpret my character. I'm a curious critter y'see))
"I just want to know what he did to Tom." Dibble said, angrily. "I know he did something. I know it I know it I KNOW IT!"
Fury swept her again, and she went hyper. She wasn't thinking straight, and blasted pure energy at her father, wiping him off the monster and leaving him gasping with the last breaths of life.
Every memory of her father putting her down, of hating him, of her beloved Tom, of everything, flowed out of her mind and into her vision. She landed, panting, while Selvaran continued battling the monster that was left behind.
"It's in the bear....he's in...I must destroy the bear..." Dibble's father died, reaching for Dibble's bear.
Dibble broke down and cried.

He's in the bear?
Quatermass looked at the toy teddy bear. It seemed to be the absolute archetype of teddy bears.
But now was not the time. He'd read Terry Pratchett (and in all the universes in the multiverse, had once ended up on the Discworld), and he took Rincewind's philosophy in many cases. Running away was important, and not as much running to as running from....
He whirled Chronos through the air and yanked Dibble, who was clutching the teddy bear, to her feet.
"Come on! That bastard might come back, and in any case, we have a calamity to avoid..."
He pulled Dibble through the rent in time....
...and Dibble blinked in amazement. It was the same street, but the buildings had blackened walls and broken windows.
"10 minute time-slash, no spatial displacement." explained Quatermass. "Looks like our friend killed that monster..."
((Roxas_XIII, I'm just making a temporal anomaly to speed up our part of the story. Feel free to include your story of how you defeated the monster...))

After Irial's fitful sleep, she woke to the smell of frying bacon. She followed her nose into the kitchen, where she found Sindri frying the bacon. The scent reminded Irial of her childhood home, and she involuntarily grinned at Sindri in an uncharacteristically giddy mood.
"Excellent," she said, approaching approaching a cupboard and setting the table for them to eat. "Marie'll be up soon, then we can get going."

Selvaran slowly opened his eyes. He was lying flat on his back, staring at a stormy sky. His left hand burned slightly, and when he tried to get up, he found he could barely move. He had enough energy to turn his heard to the side and see the blackened buildings surrouning him. Ten feet away, the monster's severed head lay upside-down, it's eyes clouded over in death. A wave of fatigue washed over Selvaran, who barely managed to stay conscious.
Looks like it worked, he thought to himself. I hope those numbskulls got out of the way in time...
He turned his head to examine the glowing runes on his left hand. It was a God Seal, one of a select group of magic seals that granted the wearer control over the forces of nature. It just so happens that this was the the Seal of Judgement, which goverened atonement and punishment. It was one of the most powerful of the God Seals, but it had the unfortunate side effect of draining the life energy of the seal bearer when used. Considering the amount of energy it had taken to destroy the dragongolem, Selvaran was suprised he was even breathing at all.
Another wave of fatigue washed over him, and he felt himself slipping back into unconsiousness.
Dammit. I'm going to be out for a while...
