The Himalayas contain marine fossils. They used to be part of the Tethys ocean which disappeared when India collided with Asia.

There are nodules made of mainly manganese up to 20cm across on the ocean floor - millions of them. No one knows how they stay on the floor and never get buried under pelagic snow. They take millions of years to grow.

You can predict the probability of rain with your TV signals. When the barometric pressure is low, TV radio waves get stronger because they bounce off the atmospheric layer where cool air meets warm air, and they come back down to the surface.
