binary == base 2 (1 and 0)
trinary == base 3 (1 2 and 0)
octal == base 8 (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 and 0)
decimal == base 10 (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and 0)
hex == base 16 (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 a b c d e f and 0)
quadinary == base 4 (1 2 3 and 0 or A C G and T)

DNA is different from binary systems, Gary, I am not really sure how you would compare the two.
