I have Adjustment Disorder

So how do you know you really have this disorder and you're not just reacting quite normally to change induced stress?
I mean. I must have had attacks of this disorder in the past four decades. Junior high school, high school, being sent to a group home, Y2K, 9/11, the @#$$%@??! ! 2016 USA presidential election, and covid. It feels like just when things feel more or less back to normal, another horrific event occurs, and eventually you get so bitter and cynical you're just done with life.
No one will ever be safe from crimes and war because humans live in this world.

That is the diagnosis I have of Adjustment Disorder, although you do have an interesting point, it could be just a normal stress of what's going on in this world.
