You have 2 choices: go to the doctor, which you've ruled out.

Or investigate the problem yourself, which will involve looking into your diet and body systems like digestion, nerves etc.

I can't think of any other choices? Maybe someone else can.

I have mystery bouts of diarrhea and have IBS.I have discovered that food additives like MSG can trigger it, long car trips, too rich a food, some alcoholic beverages and stress.Sometimes there isn’t a reason.I had a colonoscopy and it was fine.I always carry Imodium in my purse just in case it strikes away from home.I also do not eat on long trips anymore.

Yes, I think each person has their own triggers of IBS.
For me it's stress or anxiety combined with a food trigger - greasy food, curries, raw onions, processed food with a lot of additives, even coffee sometimes.
So my only suggestion would be to eat very plain food on the day of the flight. Oat porridge with bananas seems to stick my insides together well - but whatever works for you.

Eat dry crackers, dry toast or just dry food in general. Stay away from sugar as well because it might make you go as well. Also eat plain bland food. I know that sounds really boring but it might help.

I think it may be an autistic thing. It probably isn't crohn's disease.

Had regular supplement in my diet of thick aloe Vera juice and a little Pau de Arco, a healing herb for digestive track,
From South America but available online . Helped ongoing digestive issues I had for a long time , powdered Comfrey herb also has healing qualities for the digestive tract. But that herb is not recommended for people with ongoing heart issues, I have read, but I used it with no issues.
