Tap water can vary a lot in mineral content, even in the same place from season to season. The water where I live is awful, and I've always preferred bottled or reverse osmosis water to tap water. But I've visited places where the tap water was great. Many bottled waters are reverse osmosis water with minerals added back in. Some are well waters. So they can vary too. I suppose the only real consistency you're likely to find is in distilled water.

under favorable circumstances, the taste of the lions' share of water is akin to the sound of one hand clapping.

I basically never drink tap water. I prefer water with fizz in it, rather than "flat" water. and I even notice a difference in taste in the various bottled waters; some I don't like. My favorite at the moment is Apolinaris.

I love the taste of tap water but I can't stand bottled water.

Everybody is worried about their tap water--even though it's generally very good where I live. I find the taste of good tap waters much better and more varied than bottled water, which usually tastes mechanical or too "soft." Plus tap water has fluoride in it, which helps prevent cavities. Win-win.

And is a poison. Especially in high doses.

You also don't need to have it to prevent cavities, I don't have it in my toothpaste, yet I have none because I try not to eat lots of sugar, like most people do.

Ironically back in the day if you were rich you were more likely to have cavities because of access to sugar was only for the rich. The poor had better teeth, nowadays it's flipped around.

in your thoughts? you must think very good water, i would like to have some thought water since it is supposedly so good.

we have public water fountains here, on our main street. but i don't exactly trust them much...maybe i should. they're not exactly the cleanest things around but it can be much worse.
