I recently started counting calories again so I can't give an answer but I consumed 1,786 calories. To maintain my weight I need 2,450 according to My Fitness Pal . When I use the app it always says I eat too few calories.

There might be days when I eat close to 4,000 calories. I believe I'm usually between 2,500 and 3,000, though.

I have no idea, I don't even use a bathroom scale anymore. I know if I've gained or lost weight by how tight my pants feel. :P

Last week I consumed 19,869 kcal, for an average of 2,838 kcal per day.

This was 310 calories more than my estimated weekly need of 19,559 kcal (BMR + Physical activity level + Exercise) based on a weight loss trajectory of half a kilogram per week.

This means than I'm currently losing weight at a slightly lower pace than estimated...

... Still had to go out and buy smaller size pants yesterday, though...

No idea.

Despite the fact I cycle 'bulking' and 'cutting', that is gaining weight in muscle and minimizing fat gains, and then losing the gained fat and minimizing muscle loss, I still don't mathematically calculate calories, and have tried to, but find it too difficult to do so and over-complicated, and get different results every-time from different places. Too risky.

I just do rough estimates of the calories I consume and experiment with food portions.

If I'm trying to gain muscle, I look out weight gain and visual muscle gain by the mirror.

If trying to lose weight, I use the mirror to notice any loss in fat and weight change on the scale.

Since I eat almost the exact same foods each and every day, I've discovered my body and the amount I need to eat to maintain my current weight.

If I'm not losing the weight I want to, I simply cut out slightly more calories. If after a month, no change, a little more. And so on.

Same with gaining muscle. No change after 1 month? Add a little more, etc.

If I could estimate, ≈2,800 when trying to gain muscle, maybe ≈2,300 when trying to lose weight. Maintain/stay the same weight, maybe about 2,500.

I used to take in a lot of calories each day, because I decide what I eat, but that caused me to go to the supermarket and just buy tons of food I did not need. I think it was between 3000 and 4000 a day.
Now, I probably consume between 1000 - 1500 calories a day. My key for the change of this amount is chewing gum. Chewing gum these days is usually sugar free, and contains about 5 calories a piece. This way I do not feel hungry and I do not feel the need to go snacking. I usually eat about 200ml of Yoghurt, 1 or 2 apples, whatever is for dinner and of course chewing gum. I also drink lots of water and I have a water reminder app so I get 2L of water as well. This caused me to lose 3lbs in just 3 days.
