They've been talking about rugby x during the World Cup. Apparently ITV will have some on next week. If they put it on ITVPlayer I will take a look. Anyone familiar with it? It sounds like a cross between Hong Kong Sevens and wheelchair rugby, both of which I like.

How about Aussie Rules Football...with those refs who wear those debonair hats?

I find it more like rugby than American football...but there are American football type of elements in it.

I'm not familiar with the rules of OZ footie; it looks like Gaelic footie to me, but they might be nothing like each other to an insider.

About rugby league. My dad watches so I've seen plenty of bits of games but I've never followed so my explanation might be s**t but basically you only get six or seven tackles and there's few if any line outs. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will explain better. And there's less players.

OZ football is rough.

But those refs in the hat, alone, make it a fun watch :)

I think you defined “League” pretty well. Thanks.

It befuddles me why they don’t wear more equipment.

I think, in Rugby League, play stops after a tackle, sort of like in American football.

In Rugby Union, though, play seems more or less continuous.

Other way round, hence the difference in size of the players. Fitness plays a big part in League as the game is focussed much more on continuous play. Union is more complex, tactical and stop-start, which is why you get some positions filled by absolute units of men who look like running for 5 minutes would be quite a challenge.

I forgot, in my Aspie fog, to thank you, Biscuit.

I thought it was a good game to watch. Wales played well, they failed to close The All Blacks down though.

The scenes at the end were nice too, full of respect for each other. And the awards, none of the stiff formality of the

Olympics. And the kids walking off with their dad's medals.

You're hosting the 2021 Women's Rugby World Cup. We will be there, and we want your top spot :)

What did you think of the AB v Wales game?

It was a really good game. Here's the 23 minutes highlights. I expect the full will be on youtube before long.

I don't follow rugby much but if it's something special, like yesterday's world cup final, I make an exception, especially since my country's team was in it!

South Africa was very motivated to win yesterday in Yokohama, they kept up the pressure from the start, and they did it! Cheslin Kolbe's try was amazing. The whole country got a morale boost from this incredible teamwork!

Yeah, I think this was a very important win for the people.

I watched the reactions on the news and it was wonderful.

This is the kind of experience that can unite and inspire people.
