I would be 25 lbs, the weight of a 1 year old if I lost that much.

I mean look at all the things you can do at 30 pounds. Like.....I know, if you attached some balloons to yourself you could go flying like in "Up". Surely that counts as something

Ever since Covid gym lockdowns cleaned the shelves of most dumbbells at store I hear that 25 pound dumbbells are in high demand.....

This must be what they mean by "featherweight"....

I'd be weighing about 41 kg - roughly 60% of my weight in high school! But I'd like to shed around 8-10 kg.

You've gotta be pretty big to lose 100 lbs and not have trouble.

I'd be happy to lose 50, but with big weigh losses the real challenge is keeping it off and not yo-yoing after the initial loss.

There is no challenge at all if you are not crash dieting by following stupid CICO approach.

Just pay a little attention to what you are eating, avoid high insulin index foods: mostly sugary and starchy food and skimmed milk. Don't eat when you are not actually hungry and your weight will naturally normalize. No need to restrict your food intake suffering from hunger and exhaustion, no need to count calories. You will have more energy and your mood will improve as a result of stabilized blood glucose.

I suppose it might be possible to lose 100 pounds in 3 months, but it can't be healthy.

Plus, if those before/after photos are part of an advertisement, you can pretty much bet it's BS.

Twice, I lost at least 40 pounds in six months. In 1981-1982, and 1994.

It took running and walking about 120 miles per week for me to lose 25 pounds from about August, 2020 to November, 2020.

I now run and walk about 90 miles per week, 20 miles or a little more running. I run about a 10-11 minute mile most of the time when I run. I haven't lost a pound in a long time.

If somebody weighs 600 pounds, it's possible to lose 100 pounds in 3 months.

But if somebody weighs 300 pounds---probably not.

Ha! That's nothing. I lost *20* pounds in the last 3 months.

That's *twice* as much as the guy in the video.

Oh, wait... there was another zero in that number. Nevermind.

No, this is irrelevant. You don't lose percentage of your body weight, fat loss depends only on diet and energy expenditure. It gets harder only at very low body fat percentage, our body wants to reach homeostasis maintaining reasonable energy reserve.

And what if somebody is a petite lady and weights 95 pounds...
;)
To lose 100 pounds, I would need to get rid of all my fat, all my muscles and most of my internal organs :D Thank you very much, not interested ;)

But sure, if someone has 100 pounds of excess fat, losing them would be a great idea.

Its a very worthy goal to lose excess weight but it’s not just the fat one has to be concerned about; if you are quite young and haven’t been too overweight for too long, you skin will most likely shrink to fit your new physique, but look at people who have lost a significant amount of weight like 100 pounds in such a short time period and you will see sagging skin like a deflated balloon. I have personally known people who were in their thirties and had been overweight for quite a few years who had a big weight loss and then had to have the excess skin surgically removed.
Change your eating habits permanently and get more exercise. Do it safely and establish a new normal and your body will show it slowly over time. Quick fixes are rarely effective or without side effects.
