Does anyone here practice Tai Chi? I have found it to be an invaluable tool for when I get into social situations.

Why is it an invaluable tool?

It is very useful for physical and mental well being. T'ai Ch'i is meditation in motion, and if you understand the theory behind the motions, it is also a very effective martial art.

I have practices for several years, though I need to get back into it. It helps with my arthritis, and is a big help, when practiced correctly, with mental vitality.

I never considered the applications for social situations. Nice post.

Nope, but I do train in Karate and that has helped me in so many ways.

I used to do Tai Chi when I at primary school because a teacher I had was into it and used to get us doing it and we loved it. The teacher even decided to get our class into doing a tai chi display for a variety show for government schools in the outer western area of Sydney.

I would really love to get back into it when I get a chance.

It's an invaluable tool in social situations for me because it helps me understand what's going on in terms of the sensations in my body. That is, I am learning to physically "feel" my emotions and mental states in my body.

I have heard many good things about Tai Chi. Must try it.
