I saw the medal ceremony for the women's eights. Congratulations to them!

I saw a story about athletes who did great things. They missed Roger Bannister, who didn't win a medal at the Olympics, but he did become the first to break the four minute mile.

Team U.S.A. doing good so far in these games. I think Gymnastics has screwed up big time like the former USA Women Gymnastics Coach is saying with the new system and rules which destroyed the Olympic Spirit.

Baseball and Softball are being removed after Beijing because its one sided in the USA favor. Not our problem because other nations just don't have a good program except Japan with Baseball but taking them out of the games is very silly because Japan can put Baseball back in if they 2016 games with the possibilty of Kendo which they have the mass majority of the people who know the way of the sword (8 Mil worldwide 7 Mil in Japan only).

Yeah, the judging is insane with woman's gymnastics. The tie breaker for uneven bars was mind boggling.

Shawn Johnson and Nastia Luikin finished one- two on Beam so Chinese women were served with only two gold medals like the USA but we have more medals overall there.

The tie-breaking procedure between He Kejin of China
and Nastia Liukin in uneven bars was total BS.

He Kejin made obvious errors on uneven bars
but the judges played the favortism card again.

Nastia Liukin's routine on uneven bars was close to perfect.

Seriously people, should the IOC look into the age flap
against the Chinese gymnasts?

They did and say they are sixteen though might being lied to by China. Gymnastics makes you look younger sometimes as well I heard. Blame IOC for picking the judges who don't have a strong or no gymnastics program. Australia is dead in the middle of this problem but it could not be protest because the difficulty score was correct for Nastia in the first place. There is also the psychological effect of the home crowd as well but it is down to inexperienced judges and trying not create biases when experience matters in judging the most.

It is really difficult to determine age just by looking at someone. Gymnasts tend to look a lot younger than their stated ages. On the other end of the spectrum, you have some of thelong-distance runners, who look quite a bit older. One Ethiopian runner, Miruts Yifter, was supposedly 36 years old in 1980, but looked a lot older. Today, at 64, he looks healthier than he did in his years as a competitor.

Will BMX be shown on regular NBC and not on one of their cable channels?

BMX is very intriguing to watch.
