I'm glad you think that meditation and anti-anxiety pills will work. I hope that they do for you. For me there is nothing. I have to live in unbearable pain forever.

You've got to love how the shrinks want ND people to take the same dangerous narcotic drugs that make NTs feel weird in order to make NDs feel "normal".

It's not just for NDs though, unless you define ND as including anyone with depression.

Narcotics are not used to treat depression or any mood disorders.

Ketamine is. It's not technically a narcotic but it is a common recreational drug that's typically illegal.

Characterizing it as dangerous might be a stretch, given that doses for depression are smaller than recreational doses, and recreational doses are much smaller than when it's typically used in medicine as a anaesthetic.

Medically, the term narcotic is used for opioids. Legally, it's used for a variety of illegal drugs. Any drug used by a doctor to treat depression or mood disorders is neither.

I'd be more careful with ketamine. As it turns out, not all clinics are compliant with the laws.
Here is described how it should be done the right way.

Not me.
I don't even know if it's allowed to exist in this country.

I'll only try my luck with just meditating, figuring how to dig a little deeper into the layers of the mind and altering my own state of consciousness on practically next to no monetary cost. :o

But I imagine the drug, as should most psychedelic drugs, would've been a great tool for therapy and meditation, on short term use.

But not something to rely on too much and too often.

I look at it as some short cut to the layers of the mind for an outcome, just with some biochemical effects; while I prefer figuring it out on a natural way in, I can see how it is for someone it's something they need at one point or another -- especially those who don't know how to progress with just meditation, and relaxing techniques and not-as-strong consumptions alone.

One of my own cautionary list is that 'I must not seek being high/too much 'love' or feel good, let alone make it the solution to all my problems, but use such moments to intently investigate deeper or even just appreciate it. Afterwards, do not 'miss' it, do not 'seek more of it' until a period of time -- but doing so again had to be on the basis of continuing the exploration or progressing further' like any emotions and any mental states could've.

Disregarding that self note in mind meant a danger into dependence, addiction or worse, stagnation.

... This is from someone who's kinda too sensitive on ups and downs, and wanting a more stable and consistent state. :?
To a point staying happy or feeling all positive no longer works out and neither felt being stuck, and that everything else beyond that is intolerable.

If I can't have that, then I had to figure how to change my true and very much default baseline... Which I figured how and did at one level without needing further maintenance. :o

I want to be 'more flexible' and 'firm' in deeper within the mind, and stop coping with crap that had nothing to do with me and this lifetime.

If I ever have an option to get ketamine, I'll just take it as some sort of opportunity to bypass my loud mind, my clingy feelings, my whiny body and my stubborn ego. See where that may lead me.
... And I don't even have clinical depression/anxiety.
