Have discovered over the years. That people ,I have met that claimed , They had learning issues , had been conditioned to think this ...about themselves as part of early childhood conditioning .
After interacting with her , On a basis of myself teaching this same person something, just as they were curious
about how to do a task meant to be learned by Electrical technicians, And , even recalling ,how she said " she had been held back in school ." helping to cement in her mind , she had a learning difficulty. As I manually went through the methods of showing her physically this little Electronics repair/ building circuit technique. ? She picked it up quite handily. Which if in a 30 minute period of time, she had no issues. Copying what I had taught her . It was easy for me to see , that this person , in reality , appeared to be the definition of a Auto didact. Someone, whose learning methods were much different than the method ,that was taught in her schooling growing up . She picked up the technique and imprinted it , in her mind seemingly forever . 8O. Checking back with her years later, seeing she was still good at what was taught to her in a direct physical , 1 st hand manner .

I have a really weird mindset that I want to cultivate certain states that can be mostly attain immediately with certain substances without said substances.

Not that I had any extensive experience in experimenting.

... It's one thing to pretend not to be infected and ill while having a physical symptom; that's not how the body works.

But the mind and cognition itself is another matter however...

I see people as unlogical creatures which often don't make sense at all. That's why I like animals way better.

Emotional Support Animals ...? but I do believe , I have felt the experience,( of what I thought might be more Empathy)
from some dogs & cats , that I had to consider that their levels actual capacity for Empathy . To be much higher than alot of humans , I have met in the past.

^ Same. My dog has a better handle on me, my headspace at any given moment in time, and my needs accordingly...than anyone in my immediate environment ever has (myself included). The dog gets me. It's wild. Animals are awesome like that. They know what's up and I appreciate them very much for it.

My random psychological bit for the day... during my last therapist talk, he brought schizoid personality disorder to my attention, asked me what I knew about it. He has largely been unaware of the disorder, but some things brought it to his attention, and he'd been learning about it for a time now. I'm not sure if he thinks I have it or if that is really relevant or not, but he sees a lot of it in me for sure. He thought it would resonate with me, be relatable and such.

I knew a little about it, but not much and ended up going down a schizoid rabbit hole and damn if a lot of it doesn't resonate with me. I had several 'woah' moments. There's a lot of overlap with it and autism and I get why the two can and do get mixed up. I also relate to a lot of the schizoid only traits as well as autism only traits. I'm old enough that I don't care about an exact dx at this point, though I think my early symptoms would likely keep me in the autism camp over the schizoid one...you don't get dx'd with both. Still, it was interesting and I'll likely do more nosing around about it all and if there are coping tips and tricks I could pick up from the schizoid side, then I'm more than cool with trying them out. No harm or foul in learning and trying. Best case it helps me some, worst case I still learned some new stuff. Win win as I can tell.
