Is this a dig at the NHS and their prescribing policies? I have heard that the NHS sometimes withold medicines due to cost. But a blood pressure drug should be relatively cheap?

No, it's mainly about the worrying number of prescriptions worldwide that turn out to be wrong. Nothing to do with the cost of the tablets. When I go back to the UK the NHS will have to pick up the job, which raises the possibility of a transcription error. The NHS has been near to breaking point for decades, and there's a lot of eye-watering financial cuts in the pipeline. With the best will in the world, mistakes are going to be made.

I suppose when they first gave them their name it was a fashionable buzz word. You can get conical chocolates called Kisses in the USA, but they're nothing like the name.

How can anxiety be a coping mechanism?

Apart from that it's not a bad fit, but nobody's shoving psych meds into me.

There are certain mental health conditions that are actually coping mechanisms

My dissociation disorder is a coping mechanism

I have severe c/ptsd I'm hypervigilant and this is also a coping mechanism

It's a pain though because I'm literally always on guard
