Hi,

I have been suffering from debilitating anxiety and depression for 20 years. Over the years I have been experiencing difficulting speaking and it is progressing. When I search online to find out what is going on with me I keep ending with info about aphasia. The symptoms of aphasia completely describe what is happening to me when I speak.

As far as know, I have not had a stroke and do not recall any severe head injuries.

Thoughts about this. My family is so frustrated with me while having a conversation with them. I need to find out what is wrong with to hopefully find the treatment

Thanks

Wouldn't rule out aphasia if you haven't had an MRI recently -- get one, just to make sure there's no tumor or anything like that.

Otherwise, it is likely related to anxiety. It may seem progressive because it gets worse when your anxiety is worse. But it's pretty common for anxiety to get worse at times -- when you are under stress, for example. Have you been in therapy, or had any sort of treatment for anxiety?
