I applied to that internship and got it and also to grad school when I was well...

Now suddenly I'm horribly depressed and I hate myself... Like really bad...

I did take my meds btw...

Maybe it was just a hypomanic episode I applied to those things... But I'm really not better and I'm still having mood cycles so bad I'll ultimately fail...

Idk what to do...

I am afraid having ASD often does mean that we have more than our fair share of tough times in life.
This however does not mean that we are doomed to always be unsuccessful.

I think that it just means that we have to approach some aspects of life that NT people are ok with (but also often find hard) in a different way, and just do our best.

In life, all people have difficulties in some areas.
And if something was super easy, then it probably wouldn't be that worth doing.

We just got to plan a bit more, and bite off as much as we can chew. But keep our goals established.
In life, the old story of the turtle and the hair may be relevant, as ASD people often approach learning in a different way, often in ways that it takes us longer to achieve.

However, once we have got good at something, we can be people who get remarkable at some things.
So... slowly but surely we perhaps should go.

Try not think too much of your fails
remember, all people who achieve anything in life have had fails
what differentiates those who accomplish and those who do not,
is what you do when you fail>

Those who give up let the fails define them
others, who try again or try a different way or work out why they failed
and then try a different approach

are the ones that eventually succeed
even if it takes some a million times to

i know, as i have been failing for years in every thing that i have done
but in many of the areas that i eventually succeed
i keep on going, until i eventually work out a way to make it work
or accumulate knowledge until i have every area down

that's what i recommend
remember rome wasn't built in a day
and all people fail
those who succeed however do not let the fails define them
but keep on going until they succeed

try and stay positive
good luck

also
good sometimes to get others to help you analyse your past
as there may be less fails than you think

even starting from getting out of bed in the morning
doing so = succeed in getting out of bed

and go on from there...

in super short

failing is simply a part of the process for success

someone who is successful
is simply someone who has failed many times
and finally worked out how to succeed
