I'd stopped wetting the bed at night by the average age for doing so. However for the 1st two years at prep school I wet the bed virtually every day.. During that time I wasn't wetting the bed at home.Could it have been a trauma response? Luckily it had stopped by the time I went to public school.

Many children, when they are homesick, wet the bed.

I'm lucky I didn't----but many kids did wet the bed when we were all in summer camp.

I've heard enuresis is more common in abused kids, but a lot of the studies don't properly separate cause and effect (some parents abuse kids to punish them for enuresis).

I had enuresis, but I have no idea if it's related to my autism or my CSA victimization.

Stress can also make enuresis worse, I think. I also had it more often when I was in school. I suspect being stressed out at school meant I was exhausted when I got home, which meant I slept more deeply and didn't notice the need to pee.

"could it have been", you wrote in the title.

it "could" have been. that doesn't mean it "was".

"can", "should" and "will" are all three different things.

sometimes i feel like i have to urinate too frequently.

or after the morning bowel movement, i still have to defecate some more.

it could be a lot of different reasons.

not enough information to determine the etiology.

cause

'Could' was the right word to use.
