But I'm a Cheerleader: Comedy/Romance about a girl who gets to conversion therapy to cure her "homosexuality" and falls in love with another girl there.

Heavenly Creatures: Historical/Drama/Fantasy Based on a real life murder that happened in 1950's new zealand about two teenage girls who murders one of the friends mother's . The two teenage girls who have an intense friendship and an excessive fantasy life. Their parents become concerned about the girls relationship. (That it was a homosexual relationship which in 1950's homosexuality was seen as a mental illness.) and try to separate the two girls and the girls take revenge.

^I've never heard of either of those!
I've been fruitlessly searching for some good asexual lesbian fantasy romance manga online, but to no avail. *sigh* Oh well! I'll keep looking! :)

Hahaha the scissor scene!

I found it a rather irritating movie, because I found the main character's mouth movements gross, e.g. when she ate or kissed. And there weren't really any likable characters...all the females had questionable morals.

Oh my god yes, what was going on with those eating scenes and kissing 8O

Heavenly creatures is directed by Peter Jackson he also directed the lord of the rings/hobbit films!
It also has Kate Winslet (Rose from Titanic) in it as one of the two friends!

Possibly a gap in the market there!

^Yeah. I'm disappointed. Maybe I'll just have to make one! [I wonder if I could have two female lovers transform into cats or something, because I find drawing humans difficult.] At least there's lesbians a-plenty in my fantasy books! :)

Not a film, but i love watching the US version of Queer as Folk. I love it. I'm currently watching the final fifth season :( . My favourite character is Brian. Great character in my opinion. Has anybody watched it here?

Would The Imitation Game count as an LGBT film? It doesn't focus on Alan Turing's life as a gay man, but rather on what he did to help end World War II.

L'Inconnu du lac (Stranger By The Lake) is a great film, there's a lot of penises in it so be warned, I was not bothered by it at all. :D

I saw HAPPY TOGETHER a while back. Not my favourite, but it was ok. Tony Leung was convincing as a gay person.

I second all of this. I searched Netflix for a recommended lesbian or at least f/f film but I was a bit disappointed with this one. Both the girls ended up being rather unlikable. The ending wasn't very satisfying either. Made me a bit depressed.
I am really looking for a film that has some humor and a happy ending. I need more queer positivity in my life. Besides But I'm a Cheerleader, any recommendations?
