I'm at the hospital right now, because I had phalloplasty on Monday. I'm FtM. So far, everything went just fine. :D

Thank you jk1 and cinnabot. :D
I'll have to stay here in hospital ( if everything goes well) for three more weeks. I'm not allowed to stand up until Wednesday. So I can just lay in bed all day and hope that everything will turn out just fine. I'm still very nervous about it, everytime when they come to control everything.

Hello Nonperson,

Some parts still have to heal, but I'm doing quite alright. :)
My energy is still not 100% back, but I'm doing also slow. It's a bit annoying that I'm not allowed to do much, but the good part is, I'm having my phallus now.

Congratulations! Glad you are taking it slow & letting everything heal. Sorry it's frustrating.

Just bumping this in hopes of an update.

Raziel, how is your recovery from surgery going?

Mostly fine, just one part needs to heal... so I'm not sure if I'll need another surfer to get it fixed, but it's just a small part and nothing serious, still it's a bit annoying. Next week they'll have a look at it and then I'll know more. :)

Thank you for the update, Raziel. Hope the follow up (if it's needed) goes easily.

Just curious, but how does phalloplasty "work"? Can a person undergoing it actually feel anything in their new organ, or *ahem* get an erection?

Yes, there is a feeling in the new penis, but it needs some time until the nerves connect. On the beginning there was no feeling at all and now half of the penis has some feeling and after some more months all of it. They also connected the nerves to the clitoris and moved the clitoris in another position, so that it's possible to get an orgasm as soon as the nerves are connected well.
Well, it's possible to get an erection, but then they need to implant an erection pump.

It's very complicated everything. And now I also have a bad cold since yesterday (I was healthy all the time). So I hope I'll be healthy next week for the check up, because then I have to travel and I'll stay in another city for three days.

I hope you're faring well! Are you over on the Continent? I had metoidioplasty with the team in London over the summer, who seem to do things rather differently to the Belgian and Serbian teams.
