^ txfz1,Platoon was good. Oliver Stones big hit. He worked hard to make it happen. He worked on the script for 10 years, based on his real experiences in Vietnam, which he volunteered to serve, being very patriotic, and the resulting dissatisfaction, and disillusionment, with American society, when he returned.
