I much prefer the earlier stuff in the thread which is your original. I prefer the ones without shading, they are more colourful!

It's completely obvious that you took a previously existing picture and added color in MS Paint. That's not art, that's laziness.

Why thank you, miss Marple. Since I'm in a good mood today, I'll let it slide. Boy, they don't let things get past you do they? Since you're so perfect in everything that you do, why don't you leave my culture alone? Remember, Millicent King.

I'm not perfect, and I'm the first to admit that.

And I'm giving you honest critique. If you want to improve your art, get some art books from the library or take classes. Coloring over existing pictures is what little kids do.

You sure as hell could have fooled me. Get down off your ivory tower miss. No one gives a rats arse that you are an art student. Sorry if it hurts your "feelings"(if you have any) Live with it. Let me tell you something. In my 158 years of life, do you think I cared if people said things about me? I didn't. Even when my friend the admiral(god rest his soul) and I had our differences, do you think I cared what he said? I did not. So, what makes you think you can walk over me? You can't and you never will.

Sweating over a piece of art is no guarantee of it as art. Kurt Schwitters made great stuff out of pasting together crap. Lot's of good Picasso was obviously the work of a skilled hand in a few momentary swaps of a brush. It's what the end piece is that counts no matter how it was done. Of course it might help to know a lot about what and how you do it, but that's not a requirement.

Here's a novel concept: If you don't want critique, then don't post your art on the Internet. The Internet is not your personal hugbox. And I'm not being an ivory tower dweller. Even if I wasn't an art student, I'd still criticize your artwork.

I've been trying to be as nice as I possibly can when critiquing your artwork, but it's obvious you can't take any kind of criticism, no matter how constructive. The people constantly telling you how ZOMG AWESOME your artwork is aren't helping you improve at all; they're just encouraging you to stick with the bad habits you've developed in your artwork. I'm not criticizing your artwork because I get off on it, I'm genuinely trying to help you.

p.s. Pretending to be one of your characters isn't going to make me any more sympathetic.

Never said it was darling. Instead of you being "nice" to me(which I know you clearly curse what I do), why don't you listen to me. I have taken a lot of criticism. Don't tell me I can't take it, when clearly I can. This is MY thread.

You know, I'm not even going to bother giving you concrit anymore. I've tried to be nice, but you just brush me off. So I guess I'll be honest with you.

Your artwork sucks. I've already pointed out the problems in your art on numerous occasions. It will continue to suck unless you can take people's suggestions and apply them to your work.

You're not going to improve if people keep telling you how great your artwork is, without some criticism to balance it out. I've had my artwork displayed in public and I've even won awards for it, but I'm not arrogant enough to assume that my artwork is beyond criticism. If someone points out what's wrong with it, I take their suggestions and rework it.

If you can't take criticism, then don't post your artwork online.

A photograph of my cousin I "Creedonized"

At least I still have my literature, you can't take that from me. I'm actually writing a screenplay for a movie that my friend and I going to make.

This wasn't "Laziness" or "Suckish" No, people have been asking me to do this for them. So, while I go put gasoline on my sketchbooks and light them aflame, please remember this: You cannot take away my ability, and besides even perfect people who've had their art "Displayed" in public. So, you don't have to give me concrit anymore darling, you never gave it to me anyways.

And remember, you made me do this....

I find your work exceptionally interesting and skillful in the use of large blocks of flat bright color. This is not a criticism it is a statement of appreciation. I don't give a damn where you derived your material, it's the results that counts. Andy Warhol did great stuff from diverse material.
I have been in the field for over 50 years and have a degree in design from Pratt Institute in NYC so I have some concept of design and art in general. I like your work.

I drew that in MS Paint. I'm going to put up another one that I did.
