I like quite a bit of Classical, yeah. Mostly Gershwin, a bit of Prokofiev.

Classical era is annoying. Baroque, Impressionist, Modernist and Minimalist for me.

I can listen to classical on occasion. I'm more into post-rock instrumental type music. And indie. =]

I like and respect much classical music. When people say "classical" music they are actually referring to the baroke period and on. I like more of the "passionate" sounding classical like musorgsky and wagner. I also like the experimental classical like bela bartok. However, I am more of a jazz guy. The tune "Lux Aeterna" which is from the movie "requiem for a dream". is awesome. There is a tune which is used as stock music which you have probably heard called "reach for the stars" which is also an amazing classical piece. Look up both "Lux Aeterna" and "reach for the stars". You won't be disapointed.

I seem to prefer baroque and romantic era music over classical. That said, some of my favorite composers(that I've heard) are Vivaldi, Beethoven, Paganini, and I love Carmina Burana by Orff. There are still many composers that I have yet to hear, so this will probably change over time.

I really adore most of Tchaikovsky. Right now my favorite is 1812 Overture, it used to be Sleeping Beauty Waltz and selections from the Nutcracker Suite. Also parts of Four Seasons by Vivaldi. Processions of the Nobles is another favorite, as well as most of the music composed by John Williams for Stephen Spielberg movies. But I'm sure the latter are not considered classical.

There's alot of classical music that I am not able to identify by title or composer.

Jean Sibelius is my favorite composer. Of his pieces I like his 6th symphony the best.

I like Shostakovich (particularly his 8th Symphony), and I like a number of other "obvious" classical works, like Night on Bare Mountain and Carmina Burana. Oh, and O'Carolan's Concerto. :)

(I love Carmina Burana. O Fortuna is the single most abused piece of music ever, in my opinion, I cringe every time I hear it used to represent "evil sinister evil doom and gloom!", Fortune Plango Vulnera is really catchy, the drinking song is cool and I like the one with the poor swan, Olim Lacus Colueram or whatever it's called.)

Bach, Beethoven, Mahler, Strauss, Wagner, Haydn, Shubert, Debussy, Mussorgsky, Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi, and the list goes on.

Yes, not all of these were technically "classical" composers, as there is also baroque, romantic, etc but for some reason it all tends to get lumped together as "classical" nowadays. Romantic and Baroque eras are probably my favorite. Renaissance is good too.

I abhor minimalist "music," if it can even count as such.

It does. Try to be more open-minded and perhaps study a little about how music has evolved over the centuries. Besides just because you personally don't like it doesn't mean it's not music or has no artistic or aesthetic merit. If you want to make an argument that all music should be judged subjectively and ahistorically, outside of its cultural context, then I assure you I can make a devastating, very erudite argument as to why composers like Vivaldi, Mussorgsky, Tchaikovsky, Wagner and Mahler are utter, useless crap, because I personally abhor music based on schmaltziness, banality, utilitarian purposes and self-indulgence.

I like a lot of classical music, but I just generally don't listen to music much these days. I usually play or compose music more than listen to it. But a few of my favorite composers:

Dowland
Bartok
Bach
Beethoven
Schubert
Faure
Gershwin
Shostakovitch
Vaughn Williams
Gorecki
Schnittke
Part
Ligeti

Fair enough point, I should not be so dismissive of an entire genre. Some of it really is crap though, and pretty much just sounds like the composer was stoned at the time. Not all of it, but enough of it to turn me off from similar music. There is some decent minimalist stuff, but unfortunately that seems to be in the minority.
