Hey, I was just wondering if anyone here enjoyed writing as a hobby. If so, what do you write? I prefer writing poetry, short stories and novels (mostly novels). I am currently writing a novel about a band of major narcotraffickers.

What is an "English football chant?" Could we have an example?
I got your example right here ...
To be sung to the tune of Franz Ferdinand's "Jacqueline": (Will include just the chorus here ... might post the actual chant later when it's fully composed ...
It's always better at the Bridge
So much better at Stamford Bridge
That is why we chant so loud ... we need to drown you out!
(Bonus points to the person or people who can guess which team I support)
I write poetry (though I'm definitely in an off period right now) and do translations as well, but I mostly only translate Rilke. His style seems to fit mine quite well. And then my German teacher reads over it (she's native German) to make sure I've translated it correctly or not overlooked any of the subtleties that mostly only a native speaker can know.
I'd have to say poetry/lyrics, because that's what I do most of the time. I write novels and short stories too, but haven't been doing too much actually writing in recent months. I am working on developing ideas for some novels, a couple that's sci fi and another that's a metaphorical exploration of my experiences as an Aspie woman, both among NTs and other Aspies. I've also been editing some short stories and other short prose which I hope to post on ym website, should iI ever get ti up and running.

Currently working on a novel. A regular guy comes home from work to find his wife and daughter have been kidnapped by mistake. It's up to him to rescue them and it turns out he's really good at this kind of thing, catching the notice of the Feds who think he might be just right for some activities they'd rather no one know about. First chapter is posted here:

Basically i talk out of my asrse and it happeneds to be a story ill give you one now thats proberally going to be crap:
As the soldiers walked on to the battel feild weling there swords as the fear of there life and the thorght of death crossing there minds. As the archers were pulling the string on there bows back for five minutes waiting for the signal to realse. As the singnal was made with a wave of a sword they ran as fast as they could into a thoudand men fighting for dear life with nothing but a sheild to gaurd them from death. Blood covering there face and slowly drying in the boiling hot sun were bodys of brave men defending there contrey. As the battel went on and men continured to die thogh the night. As the living celebrate over there victory the dead are still lying in the feild as they rember the many soldiers freinds and as the woman cry over the death of there husbans, children and fathers of there children.
well thats all i can be bothered to type.

I write non-fiction stuff for a living, but I'm trying to write a couple of novels in my free time.
The big problem, I find, is the doubt that comes creeping in that the characters I am writing about will appeal to NTs, that my dialog is dull and boring, and that my writing is overly pedantic.
