Music has always been an outlet for me, particularly singing and writing and it seems to flow naturally.

So, what about you guys and gals?

I guess I'd consider myself a musician. Music has always been my best friend in some of my worst moments. Sometimes I'd listen to music to figure out what I was feeling because it could articulate much better than I could.

I also went to school for it, can play guitar and some piano, did some songwriting and production work. I don't really do it much anymore. Though I do like cranking my amp and just making up some blues improv on my guitar...can be very cathartic.

I knew a singer/songwriter once who had what I thought was the best definition of musician. She said a musician was someone who has an intimate relationship with music.

I have been going up on stage since I was little. I became obsessed with musicals around the age of 6 or so...I joined a band at the age of 15, and was in that band for 10 years....

My main thing for a long time now has been the ukulele...(see Youtube link below)

I write and produce Ambient/Electronic music :) it's my life <3

Great statement there DarrylZero - "a musician was someone who has an intimate relationship with music." :)

oh yeah; keyboards, bass, guitar, drums, sax, flute, mandolin. Too bad I had to sell my keyboards, bass, guitars, drums, sax, flute, and mandolin to pay bills...;)

Still, someone gave me a bass and a keyboard, so I'm not dead yet...;)

I sing to myself all the time. I've sung in front of other people (deliberately, as an entertainment) twice. :? I'd like to be able to do that, but it doesn't work for me. :(

I can't play guitar or piano, though I've tried several times to get into each. I just can't manage the coordination involved in playing more than one line of melody at once. I used to play brass instruments tolerably well; only one line to manage there.

I live and breathe music and it breaks my heart that I can't do it more often.

I sing in choir and like to sing myself, I play piano I did learn, but now I'm playing myself, teaching myself pieces, hopefully going to learn the clarinet again and join in a orchestra. :) I sometimes write stories when I feel like it. I like to paint but I'm not a good artist.
