I am trying to find books about greek MYTHS not just about the gods, I have read homer's odyssey amd about Jason and the golden fleece. I am looking for more then the well known mass market books.

I have gone to book stores and my library but they can only offer school books/mass market.

I am wondering the same thing so I am adding my voice to yours. Someone I know has studied this, but he is away. If you don't get an answer would you Let me know in a week? Sometime after next Tuesday so I can be reminded?

http://www.greekmythology.com/Books/books.html

If you want books in dead tree form, type 'greek myths' into amazon.

Thanks for the link but those books are those just have the normal myths. I remember when I was 8 and read a book about a woman following the 12 Labors of Hercules, The myth Apllo letting onr of his sons drive the sun. Even stories about the god and giant war.

I don't understand what you're asking for, but the obvious book(s) that came to mind was Robert Graves' The Greek Myths.

I don't understand either.

There is an enormous body of literature on Greek mythology and you have been able to do a degree in 'the classics' for centuries and vast numbers of translations and treatise are available on amazon.

12 Labors of Hercules, <- Son of Zeus, a god.

The myth Apllo letting onr of his sons drive the sun. <- Son of Zeus, a god.

Even stories about the god and giant war. <- Erm?

The stories you mention are all myths containing greek gods or demigods?

You could try here see if it helps.
