One obscure one is the "Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" by Leonard Nimoy. At a Star Trek convention a reluctant Leonard Nimoy perfomed the song.

Not sure how much of an oldie this is, but a song that I like that's pretty obscure is Coconut by Harry Nilsson. The only times I've ever heard it brought up in popular media was once on America's Funniest Home Videos where it played during a montage of funny monkey videos and twice in 2 separate episodes of Bones. It's definitely a guilty pleasure of mine.
