Can't remember how many releases of this song there've been. Tami Lynn certainly was in the charts in 1971 with it, and Kiki Dee released a version a few years earlier. Anyway, what a classic!

And here's Tami Lynn on TOTP in 1971.

James Brown - Living in America

*Guest starring Apollo Creed. (Carl Weathers)
*Also Dolph Lungdren (Ivan Drago.)

More James.

“L’America” - Zabriskie Point. I've seen this. I watched it back around 2013. All I remember is the explosion.

"The director of Zabriskie Point went to the Doors office on Santa Monica Blvd to audition their L’America for his movie, which would have been better than any other music used in the film, but he complained it was too loud! It would have been perfect, compatible with the drug theme permeating the film, but he missed out big time!"

I'm still confused about the 80s pop kick. I can't stop. Do I like this? Do I hate this? I have no clue.

From Me To You, from Paul, John, George, Ringo .

If you were one of the more fortunate commoners who had a Black n white cathode ray tube box, back in those days, I imagine you could have caught their many appearances live as it broadcast. This seems to be 35mm/16mm though and not a kinescope. Actually , it might be one of those big 2" Ampex magnetic tapes. Maybe a film to tape transfer...
