From what I can tell this version of the Otis Redding song, Respect, made famous by Aretha Franklin came out in 1967.

The guitar riff/intro sounds so much like the guitar in the Velvet Underground song I'm Waiting For The Man from an album released in.......1967.

Which came first? Random coincidence?

To anyone who hasn't heard this song before, I recommend it. It's a story of love, passion, loss and tragedy. Plus, the guitar playing is otherworldly.

I think I'm in an acoustic guitar mood now and I would have to say the cello is my favorite stringed instrument played with a bow. I would say that I adore the sound of a cello.
