Valentine's Day 1979 we had a blizzard and my father walked two miles in the snow to a record shop to buy me this album, because my mother had the car.

I didn't read the track listing and for many years I thought "Tragedy" was called "Tiger Lily".

Valentine's still makes me sad thinking of how much my father loved me.

I had this album in .. 1980? ... and my room was filled with little, soft coloured lights.
I had this toy at the same time and I can smell the goop when I hear the song. It lit up too, with a pretty glow.

Sorry for derailing the thread but these are the favourite songs of my sweet father, my hero, my best friend.

I've been feeling angry about the circumstances of bureaucratic malpractice which caused his illness, about his incredible contribution to the country and the monument commemorating him as a national hero which I'll be visiting straight away on 3/3, when I officially drive again for the first time in four years.

Cheers to Isabella's wonderful father. May he rest in eternal peace.

Driving again. That's exciting!

My favorite driving song. I had a neighbor who was a single mom and a radio DJ. She owned a Plymouth Roadrunner.

Thank you, Magna.

Yes, my big news which I failed to share is that I saw my doctor Friday. If I get new prism glasses for my double vision, with a "sunglass tint" to block the sun, I can try driving on quiet streets. I assume it will take a few weeks to update my prescription and have the glasses made. My current ones are for reading but I'll need distance lenses to drive again. Assuming the new pair is ready on time, I picked 3/3 to hit the road. It will be the fourth anniversary of my stroke.

I can't wait. I love driving!

This is one of my favourite driving songs:
