I don't own an Ipod. I haven't bought any albums, listened to radio, tapes or CDs for the past thirty years. I have my own music in my head, hundreds of original songs plus riffs or fragments created spontaneously all the time. I realize not everyone is like me, and sometimes other people's songs get stuck in my head, but in general I prefer my own music more than anyone else's music. That's not to say my music is better or worse than anyone else's, just that it is mine and suits me. I am not ashamed of my lyrics or music. Some of my songs are quite good, the lyrics are profound and the music ain't half bad either.
What does suck is the recording quality of those songs that have been recorded (most haven't been recorded at all yet, including my best work), and my singing on the songs that have been recorded. I play guitar and especially sing much better now than ever before in my life. I hope to be recorded again this year, and have videos made too, because I do what I do (singing and playing guitar) while riding a bicycle "no hands" at the same time!
