I am in the process of writing a really cool satire, but I was just wondering if anyone else enjoys satires e.g. Monty Python, Taladega Nights, and Benny Hill.

Man, I love satire. Anything that mocks the world and lifestyle we live in. :D

Yes, but surely you can do better than Benny Hill?

Pete and Dud at their best.

Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett.
John Bird and John Fortune, especially in their "Geoge Parr" exchanges.

And Tom Leher, who announced that he was giving up satire when Henry Kissinger was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, real life thus going beyond anything he could achieve.

It is definately easy to understand, but would that indicate that you have trouble comprehending other things?

Just curious

Well I generally don't understand innuendo or crude jokes, and sarcasm has to be blatant or I won't understand it. I don't ususally notice puns either, unless they're exceptionally bad :P So yes, it is safe to assume that my previous post would indicate I have problems comprehending other things! :)

Satire's my favorite type of comedy. I do a lot of ones on religion.
