Can I make a story out of this dream?

I had some odd dream. The first thing I remember is me and a bunch of others sitting by a fence, staring down while some authority (it slightly made me think of Planet of the Apes) were passing us by. Some conversation about gold went on about how some dug for gold. I asked if there was any here, another said no, but there was some around another location next to/under something that looked like a satellite or a lookout post and said something about "indians" hanging around there. There were other parts of a dream I don't remember, but it jumped to me being under that place with my friend (I knew her in real life, we went to school together for two years) overlooking a staircase. She warned me not to go down too far. I went down a few flights and saw sick children hanging around there (their appearances somewhat frightened me) and knew not to go down any further. Later I learned that a woman there was building something that in the dream was known as a "morgue" (I didn't know what it was either in the dream or real life). That place was full of sick kids. Later, there was an assembly line that some of the sick kids would be living with the healthy kids "above the stairs" and the healthy kids were mad because they didn't want to get sick. I was constantly trying to be away from them.

I wonder if we can make an interesting plot from this.

Sounds like a good plot already to me. Very viscerally moving.

There's not much of a plot in here yet. We need to make more. Hmm, gonna need a little help

bradt4ever, you've been stalking me (I actually don't care. But three cheers for stalking because it seems to be common now thanks to Facebook) anyway, let's take this up a notch

there was once an outbreak of some weird disease that doesn't affect mature subjects (it's artificially made but the truth's been swept under the rug) years back but they manage to keep it under control by quarantining people underground (the place beneath the stairs). I wonder how we'll incorporate gold later on. Anyway, those kept underground are given poor conditions so they have no hope of getting better (no way of keeping clean, low and sporadic food supply).

Hmmm....

However, the public is ignorant of what goes on Beneath the Stairs....

The issue is, how would they sell it if they're never allowed Above the Stairs? That's where the people Above The Stairs who want to know more come in...

DUH DUH DUH!! !! (dramatic music)

Now, when do we start writing?
