Several people on the Members Only board asked to see my patterns, which I mentioned in response to the 'if it wasn't for my AS then...' thread. I posted one there but I thought it might be a good idea to show it here too.

It reminds me a lot of why I took LSD....oooohhhh....look....pretty....colors.....I once spent an hour starring at a granit wall and was amazed at the clever intricate detail that had been painstakenly been carved into the stone.....my friend informed me it was just a piece of rock....lol

Thanks! i couldn't possibly add up all the hours I spend doing this! I do it obsessively for a few hours at a time and then come back later for a few more hours, etc etc. I designed the basic motifs about ten years ago, and I just keep coming back to them and playing with them....

Exactly! As you know i'm very fond of LSD myself, and that's really what inspires me (although I haven't had any acid for over six years now. Have had a few mushroom trips though, and this is just the sort of thing I see with eyes closed on mushrooms!)

If the mushrooms are 'heady' enough, it won't matter whether your eyes are open or closed. You'll see the same thing either way. 8)

Very cool image!
I find that color combo very seductive, but I often go for a darker, or oversaturated look in my fractal palettes.
I should use a gentler hand once in a while. Nice!

What Krex said... If that's what you see when you're high, I'm really tempted.

Oh, that is soooo beautiful. It reminds me of a stained-glass window, if you know what I mean. :)

I promised I'd show you my Photoshop wigglies, but I don't want to mess up your thread, or renig either. I'll post a link, if that's OK with you.

Yeah, or the ceiling of a church.
