These are some proverbs in my constructed language Sumam, the language of a highly alternate Earth, and its extraterrestrial settlements, where all humankind is united under one world state, a mixed civilization-state and citizen-state, known as the Sutimpo, the Federation of Humanity.

Fewfamfamsesenymsenky famtuk fampalmojsawkylum lyky kasuket; tenfamfamtuktuk fampalmojsawkylum lyky kufakem; tenfamfamketsuket fampalwimsojin lyky; fewpalpural'lum lyky.=Spear a fish when a small, quick meal is needed; net a fish on a boat when variety is needed; farm a fish when quantity is needed; keep a fish in a glass vessel when beauty is needed. To all a time and a place.

Wapkafittukpul nupalsomtowel nykuslan kippalsomtowel tatuklew tawawa.=A cooking arthropod does not know the pain it senses but a hungry child does. This exemplifies the anthropocentric worldview of my constructed people.

Kipfamryfkatilpas; kipfamtokpartilpas; kipfamparpijy; pypfamkiparputup.=Learn the patterns of the past; consider what is not now; help what is not the past; plan for the future. This is how my constructed civilization believes one should approach time.

Kiptapywyk tasewwipintu; kiptapywyk tatunnampyputun; pyptatoppywyk.=Texture is a satellite of a work; color is the amplification of a work; form is a work's core. This is an aesthetic maxim that underlays my constructed civilization's concept of beauty.

I have a website explaining much of this but it is horribly out of date; until I can update it, feel free to ask as many questions as you wish.

I also have some calligraphy in the writing system of Sumam, Sutip. It is the third proverb and it is done in a reed pen on paper; I shall have it up in a little while.

This image should show up as my calligraphy:

Thank you! I am glad someone else knows what I am talking about here  .

Do you have a conlang? If so, what is it like and does it have a conscript?

long ago i made one:

http://www.rickharrison.com/language/glaugnea.html

most of it only exists in my notebooks. the script was extremely elaborate--some of the letters were more like diagrams than simple signs. it took a long time to write, but the results were impressive to look at.

I saw your website and I found your language interesting; could you explain a bit more about what influenced it and also, what was the script like (from what you say it sounds logogrammic or logophonetic)?
