O'Keeffe has been one of my obsessions; after reading many of her letters and biographies, I personally think there is a chnace that she may have been autistic or had those tendencies.

She has been described as mean, cold, and unempathetic.
She got caught up in and 'high' on, sensory experiences and sights.
She was very introverted and had a number of breakdowns/nerve related ilnesses. Many of these seem to have been precipitated by situations in which she was overwhelmed by people and could not escape from them.
She was very unconventional and didn't give a hoot what anyone thought!

Input? What do you think?

I know very little about her life, but I love her work.

She was certainly a very unconventional woman, particularly of her time.

I'm going to find out more about her as a person now, thankyou for the idea!
