Not completely true. Jesus and his disciples are portrayed in the form of a king and his personal retinue traveling from keep to keep, which would have been a form recognizable for the ancient Saxons. But he is not being portrayed as a hertog (duke), or heertuig (in a more older form of the word), which would be the title for those who where the leaders of the army.

Okay. I'm just recalling something I had read years before on the subject.

Well, it does not really help that in practice there was not always a clear boundary between king and duke. With kings at times also being war leaders.

My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite
I only just started it, but I gotta say, it has a lot of humor (which is why I was interested in the first place)

also reading Karen M McManus. One of us is next
every bit as great as the first book

L'Écume des jours by Boris Vian. I don't like it much though, will probably drop it.

I wasn't too fond of sci-fi until i started reading PKD! (is it even sci-fi? It seems like his books have a genre of their own)
